The Ministry of Finance (of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago) is inviting Members of the Public who had their Jobs and Sources of Income affected (either Suspended or Terminated) resulting from the latest Public Restrictions implemented in May (2021), to apply for the Salary Relief Grant (SRG), a COVID-19 Relief Measure.
The Salary Relief Grant (for persons in the formal/NIS system) will be administered by the Ministry of Finance in the amount of $1,500.00 (for those affected from May 1st) or $1000.00 (for those affected from May 8th) in the month of May 2021 only.
How do you qualify?
Did you suffer job or income loss in May 2021?
Were you employed in one of the following sectors:
Food/Restaurant Services
Cinemas/Entertainment
Amusement Parks/Tour Operators
Casinos/Members Clubs
Retail Outlets
Night Clubs
Gaming/Betting Houses
Sporting Facilities
Pre-Care/Day care
Do you have a National insurance number (NIS)?
If YES to all, then you can Apply for the Salary Relief Grant!
NOTICE: It is to be noted that Salary Relief Grant being issued by the Ministry of Finance is different from the Income Support Grant that is being issued by the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services, and of utmost importance, Applicants are strongly cautioned against, and MUST NOT apply for BOTH the Salary Relief Grant and the Income Support Grant.

Step 2: Fill out the Online Application Form. The Questions and Information required (as at Wednesday 19th May 2021) are as follows:
What is your citizenship status?
Did you lose employment (suspended or terminated) as a result of the Covid Pandemic restrictions enforced in May 2021?
Do you have an NIS Number?
In what sector were you most recently employed? (a formal Letter from your Former Employer will be required as proof)
First and Last Name
E-mail (an E-mail Address can only be used once to apply on this ePortal)
Password and Password Confirm
Confirmation will be required that the information provided is correct, and agreement to the Terms of use of the Portal
Step 3: Scan and Upload your Supporting Documents
Step 4: Submit and receive your Confirmation E-mail
