Woman escapes Abductor when he detoured to Heights of Aripo instead of Cumuto, her requested Destination...

On the morning of Sunday 14th February, 2021, at approximately 7:10 a.m., a 26-Year Old Woman from Brazil Village boarded what appeared to be a Licensed Taxi (HCB-Plates), a Silver Nissan Tiida at the Corner of Woodford and Broadway Streets, Arima, and would have requested of the Driver to be taken to her Place of Work in Cumuto, E-Teck.

On route to her requested Location the Driver suddenly made a detour onto Aripo Road and as the Woman became aware she made several requests to be dropped off, but at no point did the Driver stop the Vehicle for her to get out. At this point the Victim, fearful, went into her purse and took out a knife and slashed the Driver's left side of his face. It was then he stopped the Vehicle and physically assaulted the Woman, punching her multiple times in her face.

During this Attack the Victim managed to get out of the Vehicle, and as she began running away the Driver gave pursuit and attempted to get a hold of her purse at which point she took her knife again and stabbed him several times while screaming to raise an alarm.

Fortunately, during this part of her ordeal a motorist was passing by which lead to the Abductor returning to his Vehicle and fleeing. The motorist was flagged down by the Victim and she was taken to the Arima Police Station. The Victim was subsequently taken to the Arima Health Facility to seek medical attention.
