Port of Spain, Saturday 20th February, 2021: The Ministry of Health made a Media Release "Outdoor Recreational Sporting Activities allowed from Monday" advising the Citizens of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago that come Monday 22nd February, 2021, the Roll-Back Measure that forbid Outdoor Recreational Sporting Activities will be no more, but this liberty allows for only twenty-two (22) persons or less.
This Announcement was made by the Minister of Sport and Community Development, the Honourable Shamfa Cudjoe, during the Ministry of Health's Virtual Media Conference today.
"Today, we are opening up to have sporting activity taking place for recreational purposes. At this point in time, we are only going to focus on sporting activities that cater to 22 or less people. We are not going to open up to leagues."
It is to be stressed that this Measure will only take effect on the date stated (Monday 22nd February), and no exemptions will be allowed prior. Additionally, it is to be noted that this does not include League Activities.
The Public Health Regulations will be updated to reflect the changes, this was confirmed by the Minister of Health, the Honourable Terrence Deyalsingh.
